CNA Staff Scheduler

Job Summary:

The Staffing Scheduler for Nursing Services will be responsible for the design and implementation of staffing patterns.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

• Assists in recordkeeping and documentation of attendance and tardiness
• Reviews complaints and grievances pertinent to scheduling and staffing and make necessary oral and/or written reports to the Staff Coordinator

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Establishes staffing patterns and schedules for nurses and nursing assistants
• Works with human resources/recruiting to advise them of staffing needs terminations and other information necessary for the smooth flow of work regarding employees
• Maintains the scheduling system for bi-weekly payroll
• Assists employees in accurate completion of forms pertinent to scheduling and staffing including timecards time off requests and leave of absence paperwork
• Assists in securing staff for absences leaves etc. adjusting schedules as required.
• Maintains records on vacations sick leave leaves of absence holidays excused and unexcused absences and recommends appropriate action
• Documents employee calls regarding staffing and scheduling functions
• Acts as a back up for Staff Coordinator role
• Additional duties as assigned

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Must possess sensitivity in understanding employees needs while maintaining a sense of balance to ensure that staffing requirements are met for the facility
• Good typing and Mathematics Skills

Education and Experience:

• High school education or GED equivalent required with college-level training preferred
