Position Title: CNA - Med Surg
Location: Portland OR 97216.
Duration: 13 weeks
Work Schedule: 07:00 PM-07:30 AM
Pay rate: $25.00 - $31.00 /hr
Responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to:
- Provide personal nursing care to patients under the direction of a licensed RN.
- Assist patients with activities of daily living including bathing dressing feeding and personal care.
- Assist with nutrition and hydration elimination positioning restraints and restorative care.
- Take and document vital signs including pulse and blood pressure.
- Observe and report patient status concerns and changes to the RN.
- Provide assessment data to the RN within the CNAs scope of practice including vital signs and patient verbal and nonverbal responses.
- Assist patients with their basic care and comfort needs.
- Perform routine assigned clinical tasks according to facility policies and scope of practice.
- Perform clerical duties as needed including routing patient reports appropriately.
- Maintain organization of the unit and prioritize assigned tasks to help ensure smooth unit operations.
- Follow patient safety standards and facility policies.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- CNA certification required.
- BLS certification required from an approved vendor per Adventist Health policy.
- EPIC experience REQUIRED.
- High School diploma/GED or equivalent preferred.
- Previous Med/Surg or acute-care experience preferred.
- Must be comfortable working 36 hours per week on night shifts.
- Must be able to work 7:00 PM 7:30 AM.
