Job Title: Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Long-Term Care / Hospital Setting
Location: Hawaii
Employment Type: Contract
Shift: All Shifts Required Rotating Schedule 40 Hours per Week
We are seeking compassionate and dependable Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) to provide direct patient care in a hospital and long-term care environment. This position involves supporting patients through a variety of nursing care tasks while working collaboratively with the healthcare team to ensure quality patient care and comfort.
The ideal candidate must be flexible and able to work any shift including rotating schedules weekends and holidays as needed.
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care and assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing dressing feeding toileting grooming and mobility assistance
- Assist nursing staff with routine patient care procedures and support tasks
- Monitor and report patient condition changes to licensed nursing staff
- Maintain patient comfort safety and dignity at all times
- Assist with transferring repositioning and ambulation of patients
- Document care activities accurately within the electronic medical record system
- Follow infection control policies safety procedures and facility protocols
- Support patients across multiple care units including skilled nursing intermediate care medical surgical and long-term care units
- May provide home care support services as assigned
- 40 scheduled hours per week
- Must be available to work any and all shifts
- Rotating schedules may include weekends and holidays
- Holiday pay is based on hours worked during recognized holidays including:
- New Years Day
- Independence Day
- Thanksgiving
- Christmas Day
- Active CNA certification required
- Minimum of 2 years of CNA or related patient care experience preferred
- Ability to work in hospital and long-term care settings
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Flexibility to work varying shifts and care units
- Reliable compassionate and patient-focused approach to care
- BLS / BCLS certification required
- EMR System: Cerner
- Candidates should review housing availability and relocation considerations prior to accepting the assignment
- Compliance requirements must be completed before assignment start
- Experience in skilled nursing long-term care medical/surgical or hospital environments preferred
