Our Spine team provides advanced research-backed surgical and non-surgical care for patients with cervical thoracic and lumbar spine conditions. Our Pain Management Service delivers compassionate team-based care for patients experiencing acute chronic and cancer-related pain. Together these teams use a multimodal multidisciplinary approach to create personalized treatment plans focused on improving comfort function and quality of life.
What Youll Do
Support smooth and efficient practice operations by performing both administrative and clinical support functions under minimal supervision.
Manage patient visit workflows including scheduling check-in check-out appointment records and routine patient inquiries.
Assist with patient billing forms scanning documents into the medical record and maintaining accurate documentation.
Serve as a resource and Super User for scheduling registration and billing systems.
Provide assistance guidance and training to Office and Practice Assistants.
Partner with the Supervisor to support daily practice operations and help coordinate staff activities.
Handle phone calls messages prior authorization requests provider questions prescription refill inquiries and test result communications as appropriate.
Perform more complex scheduling functions which may include surgical scheduling schedule changes or schedule blocking.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- 35 years of office experience required.
- Strong technology skills including advanced proficiency with Microsoft Outlook Word Excel and PowerPoint.
- Knowledge of office operations standards and procedures including filing copying scanning printing and faxing.
- Ability to manage non-routine phone calls solve routine issues and communicate clearly with patients providers and team members.
- Strong written communication skills including the ability to compose edit and proofread emails memos letters and other documents.
- Excellent organization and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- A collaborative professional approach and a commitment to supporting high-quality patient care.
