Job Summary
The position of Clinical Trainee functions under direct supervision performing progressively more involved and independent activities. Dusties include supporting and providing individual and group counseling sessions and and assessments in accordance with CompDrugs clinical philosophy applying understanding of mental health and traumaCollaborates with direct supervisor and agency staff to ensure patients receive appropriate care in a respectful safe environment. Must effectively accurately and confidentially communicate in written and verbal form while dealing with patients with compassion and empathy.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Provides individual treatment in accordance with CompDrug clinical philosophy including assessment treatment plan and monitoring of client progress to ensure appropriate continuity of care.
Facilitate or co-facilitate group counseling sessions.Collaborate with clinical staff to ensure successful facilitation of group sessions.
Case Management - coordination and correspondence with outside authorities partners and agencies including but not limited to completion of guest dosing forms and transfer forms for clients and collaboration on client care.
Assisting clients in crisis.
Completes assessments.
Create and maintain appropriate and required documentation.
Maintains and seeks to further licensure and credentials.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Regular and timely attendance.
Participate in initial and periodic compliance processes.
Maintain credentials.
Requirements
Enrolled in a masters level counseling program
Counselor Trainee with Counselor Social Worker Marriage Family Therapist Board.
Excellent human relations skills and the ability to handle different personalities and situations while interacting with staff and patients with respect and empathy.
Physical Requirements/Work Environment
Must be able to talk and hear. Regularly uses computer and telephone including typing and reading. CompDrug operates as a campus this position will move between campus buildings which includes going out of doors and crossing a busy street.
