Job Summary

Overview

Clinical Support Services Associate I (CSSA1) will float between Logistics Patient Transport Hospitality Lounge and Entryway Services as needed based on volume of Epic task requests to efficiently satisfy needs of the Clinical Support Services (CSS and Hospitality) workload. Responsible for the distribution of medical equipment to patient care areas and throughout the CFH campus optimizing throughput of patients and assisting patients and guests with visiting/wayfinding. Demonstrates high levels of commitment and customer service to supporting patient care operations. Performs safe and efficient transport of patients guests equipment and/or specimens to designated destination. Assists Hospitality Lounge team as necessary to perform transports and arranging Uber Health rides maintaining efficient patient throughput. Assists Entryway Services team to transport visitors/patients assist with way finding or by utilizing the Visitor Management System.

Qualifications

Basic Life Support (BLS) Instructor within 30 days - American Heart Association (AHA)
Fingerprint Check Required in 30 Days - Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH)

Responsibilities

Demonstrates ability to safely assist with moving patients onto transport devices and to safely transport patient to designated responds to emergency situation transporting uses stores and cleans receives dispatch for transport assignments and obtains needed equipment for Patient assignments within designated timeframes and meets department productivity standards regarding monthly average time to complete medical equipment to and from CFH departments as basic maintenance tasks on medical equipment such as but not limited to: sanitizing equipment repair and assessing need to replace and/or order additional equipment to support patient care as necessary between Clinical Support Services (CSS) and Hospitality departments based on workload needs to maintain efficient with leadership to complete project tasks for all CSS with flow of patients/visitors in Entryway Services (transport wayfinding or Visitor Management System).Serves as Safe Patient Handling resource working at top of scope as expert in patient transport/safety equipment and safe patient movement.

Salary Range

The compensation range for this position is $16.03per hour - $25.97per hour. This represents a good faith minimum and maximum range for the role at the time of posting by Carle Health. The actual compensation offered a candidate will be dependent on a variety of factors including but not limited to the candidates experience qualifications location training licenses shifts worked and compensation model.
