Job Summary
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Clinical Operations
- Support daily clinical operations and provide direct patient care as needed.
- Assist with staff orientation competency validation and clinical education.
- Collaborate with leadership to promote patient safety and operational excellence.
Quality Compliance & Performance Improvement
- Coordinate the facilitys Quality Assessment and Performance Improvement (QAPI) Program.
- Prepare reports and documentation for leadership committees Governing Board corporate and regulatory agencies.
- Maintain continuous compliance with CMS Conditions for Coverage OSHA HIPAA accreditation standards and organizational policies.
- Assist with accreditation surveys regulatory inspections policy review and survey readiness activities.
Infection Prevention & Risk Management
- Serve as the facilitys Infection Prevention Coordinator.
Credentialing & Staff Compliance
- Coordinate provider credentialing and recredentialing activities.
- Partner with Human Resources to support onboarding and ongoing regulatory compliance.
Education & Leadership
- Coordinate required certifications and annual education programs.
- Provide guidance on quality improvement infection prevention regulatory compliance and patient safety initiatives.
- Participate in committees and perform other duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
- Knowledge of ambulatory surgery center operations QAPI principles infection prevention and regulatory compliance.
- Understanding of CMS Conditions for Coverage OSHA HIPAA and accreditation standards.
- Strong analytical organizational communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to interpret data manage multiple priorities and maintain confidentiality.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and quality reporting systems.
EDUCATION / REQUIREMENTS
- Current unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of employment.
- Bachelors degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Minimum of three (3) years of clinical nursing experience; ambulatory surgery or healthcare quality experience preferred.
- Experience in quality management infection prevention regulatory compliance or risk management preferred.
- Current BLS certification required; ACLS and PALS required or obtained within organizational guidelines.
- Certification in Infection Prevention (CIC) or Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) or willingness to obtain preferred.
ENVIRONMENTAL / WORKING CONDITIONS
- Works in an ambulatory surgery center environment with potential exposure to communicable diseases and biohazards.
- Requires prolonged standing walking computer use and occasional lifting or assisting patients.

The Clinical Program Coordinator consistently:

- Ensures timely completion of required quality infection prevention credentialing and compliance activities.
- Promotes continuous quality improvement and patient safety.
