Job Summary
The BerbeeWalsh Department of Emergency Medicine (DEM) at the UW School of Medicine and Public Health seeks a highly organized and enthusiastic Clinical Operations Coordinator (COC).
At the BerbeeWalsh Emergency Departments we pride ourselves on continuously providing the highest quality of emergency care for our an effort to provide exemplary patient care all clinical care is reviewed through our quality improvement programs. This includes a robust peer review process with monthly M&M conferences as we strive to continually improve the care we provide.
The COC will play an integral role in continuing DEMs efforts by managing the departments clinical quality and scheduling portfolio which is inclusive of faculty APPs Med Flight and learner cohorts. A successful COC is customer service oriented collaborative a team player and highly organized. They serve as a central resource to the departments clinical efforts and are instrumental in ensuring the team has the tools and resources needed to improve the health and well-being of Wisconsin and beyond.
This position will assist faculty and department leadership in the successful performance of departmental clinical activities. Responsibilities include continuous tracking prioritizing organizing and communicating multiple ongoing initiatives at various stages of progress. The position requires outstanding administrative organizational interpersonal and computer skills as well as the ability to work independently and proactively.

This position may require some work to be performed in-person onsite at a designated campus work location. Some work may be performed remotely at an offsite non-campus work location.
Candidates who demonstrate the following knowledge skills and abilities will be given first consideration: strong attention to detail effective interpersonal communication skills.
- Serves on committees and attends meetings representing the interests of the unit or program
- Assists recommends and advises staff on unit or program administrative issues personnel matters and budgetary problems
- Schedules logistics and secures resources for a designated work unit to contribute to the day-to-day operational success
- Analyzes data and trends compiles progress reports and provides appropriate recommendations or conclusions in support of the assigned operational work unit(s)
- Implements and executes established policies and procedures for a designated work unit to adhere to unit objectives and to align with established strategies
- Manages clinical scheduling

The starting salary for the position is $60000 annually but is negotiable based on experience and qualifications.

Minimum of 3 years experience with calendaring and/or scheduling
Proficiency with frequently used computer programs (such as Microsoft Office Suite WebEx and Zoom (or similar))
Experience working in an academic and/or healthcare environment
Demonstrated expertise in scheduling software
Experience coordinating meetings and administrative workflows
Experience managing phone systems
Bachelors Degree preferred
