Position Overview
Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) for a 13-week contract assignment in a hospital laboratory setting. The CLS will perform a wide range of complex diagnostic testing ensure accuracy of results maintain quality control standards and support timely clinical decision-making that directly impacts patient care.
This role requires strong technical expertise attention to detail and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced high-volume clinical environment.
Key Responsibilities
Perform complex laboratory testing and specimen analysis across multiple disciplines
Operate calibrate and troubleshoot laboratory instruments and equipment
Ensure accuracy of test results through established quality control and quality assurance procedures
Process handle and prepare patient specimens in compliance with safety standards
Maintain adherence to laboratory safety protocols infection control guidelines and regulatory requirements
Document and report laboratory findings accurately within laboratory information systems
Collaborate with physicians nurses and clinical staff regarding test results and interpretations
Support inventory management reagent preparation and supply tracking
Participate in quality improvement initiatives and competency assessments
Required Qualifications
Current Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) certification/licensure in accordance with state requirements
Strong understanding of clinical laboratory procedures and diagnostic methodologies
Knowledge of quality control quality assurance and laboratory safety standards
Proficiency in operating laboratory analyzers and related equipment
Excellent analytical organizational and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
Prior experience in a hospital or clinical laboratory setting
Experience in high-volume laboratory environments
Strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving abilities
