Clinical Director
POSITION SUMMARY

The Clinical Director serves as Kenneth Young Centers senior clinical leader and chief clinical authority responsible for establishing advancing and overseeing clinical excellence across the organization. This executive leadership position provides enterprise-wide oversight for clinical practice service delivery standards quality outcomes evidence-based interventions workforce development risk management and regulatory compliance throughout all behavioral health programs and services.

The Clinical Director is responsible for developing implementing and maintaining a unified clinical vision that promotes consistent standards of care clinical integrity client safety treatment effectiveness and professional excellence across Kenneth Young Centers continuum of care.

The Clinical Director serves as the organizations principal clinical resource and has authority for the development implementation monitoring and enforcement of clinical standards treatment protocols documentation expectations supervision requirements evidence-based practices and professional clinical competencies across all clinical programs and services.

ENTERPRISE CLINICAL LEADERSHIP
Serve as the organizations chief clinical authority and subject matter expert for behavioral health service delivery.
Establish and maintain organization-wide clinical standards treatment philosophies and best practices.
Ensure implementation of evidence-based trauma-informed culturally responsive and recovery-oriented care.
Provide clinical consultation and guidance across all service lines.

CLINICAL QUALITY COMPLIANCE & OUTCOMES
Lead organization-wide clinical quality improvement initiatives.
Ensure readiness for Joint Commission Illinois Rule 132 Medicaid Medicare SUPR CCBHC and other applicable standards.
Monitor clinical documentation standards and organizational consistency.

CLINICAL SUPERVISION & PROFESSIONAL PRACTICE
Establish and oversee organization-wide standards for clinical supervision.
Ensure compliance with Illinois licensure supervision requirements.
Support clinicians pursuing independent licensure and certifications.

CLINICAL WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT
Lead clinical workforce strategy and talent development initiatives.
Mentor and develop clinical leaders throughout the organization.
Support recruitment retention succession planning and workforce engagement.

INTEGRATED CARE & MEDICAL COLLABORATION
Collaborate with psychiatrists advanced practice nurses nursing personnel and medical partners.
Support expansion and optimization of psychiatric and medication management services.

CLINICAL RISK MANAGEMENT
Monitor and address clinical risk trends critical incidents grievances and client safety concerns.
Lead clinical root cause analyses and corrective action planning.

PROGRAM INTEGRATION & CONTINUUM OF CARE
Promote clinical integration across all Kenneth Young Center programs and service lines.
Ensure alignment with the Center of Excellence and Centralized Intake models.

STRATEGIC LEADERSHIP
Serve as a member of the Senior Leadership Team.
Advise the President & CEO on clinical strategy emerging trends and best practices.

QUALIFICATIONS
Masters degree in a behavioral health-related field .
Illinois independent clinical licensure (LCSW LCPC LMFT Clinical Psychologist or equivalent).
Minimum seven years of progressive clinical leadership experience.
Minimum five years of supervisory experience.
