Trinity Health IHA Medical Group is seeking a compassionate and motivated Clinical Coordinator to support our Medical Assistants in delivering exceptional patient this role you will oversee the medical assisting staff and other specified areas of the office in collaboration with office Nursing Leadership and the Practice Manager. This includes accountability for efficient patient/work flow customer satisfaction staff satisfaction productivity and achievement of operational goals as defined by practice leadership.
What Youll Do:
- Supervise day-to-day operations of assigned areas.
- Assists with recruitment hiring orientation training and coaching of MA staff.
- Maintains scheduling time and attendance for the MA staff.
- Evaluates the performance of MA staff recommends promotions and disciplinary action.
- Fills in as Medical Assistant when needed.
- Assist providers with exams procedures testing and specimen collection.
- Administer medications and perform diagnostic testing as directed.
- Communicate test results and provider instructions to patients.
- Provide patient and family education to support better health outcomes.
- Coordinate care and serve as a liaison between patients and providers.
- Support quality improvement initiatives and disease management programs.
General Requirements:
EDUCATION: High School Diploma or equivalent with applicable college coursework or seminars in management and supervision. Prefer associate or bachelors degree in relevant field (Management Healthcare Administration etc)
Successful completions of accredited/approve MA program and MA externship MA Internship; Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) program; Paramedic program; or Certified Athletic Trainer.
If credentialed maintains current MA Re-Certification CEUs.
CREDENTIALS/LICENSURE: Valid CPR certification.
MA-Credentialed I: Certification as a Medical Assistant through one of the following certifying agencies:
- American Association of Medical Assistants (CMA)
- American Medical Technologists (RMA)
- National Center for Competency Testing (NCMA)
- National Healthcareer Association (CCMA)
- National Association of Health Professionals (NRCMA)
- American Medical Certification Association (CMAC)
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE:5 years clinical experience with prior supervisory experience preferred.
