The Clinical Care Attendant supports providers by assisting with clinical and administrative tasks in a fast-paced outpatient setting. This role includes patient intake vital sign collection performing point-of-care tests assisting with procedures and ensuring a smooth patient experience from arrival to checkout. The attendant acts as a key team member facilitating communication between patients providers and staff while maintaining compliance with clinic policies and regulatory standards.

• Greet register and room patients; collect vital signs and patient history.
• Assist providers with clinical procedures and perform point-of-care testing as directed.
• Provide patient education and comfort review after-visit instructions and conduct follow-up calls.
• Maintain exam rooms medical supplies and clinic logs per protocol.
• Communicate with patients providers pharmacies and staff effectively.
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA OSHA CLIA and safety standards.
• Participate in clinic meetings trainings and quality improvement initiatives.
• Perform additional duties as assigned to support clinic operations.

• Current Iowa certification as EMT Paramedic LPN or CMA
• IF EMT/Paramedic: Current and Active Permit to Practice/License in State of Practice
• IF LPN: Current and Active/Unencumbered LPN License in State of Practice
• IF Certified Medical Assistant: Graduate of an accredited program for Medical Assistants (Certificate diploma orassociates degree)required.
• Certified or Registered Medical Assistant through one of the following required:
• NationalHealthcareAssociation
• American Association of Medical Assistants
• National Center forCompetencyTesting
• National Certified Medical Assistant
• National Association of Health Professionals
• American Registry of Medical Assistants
• American Allied Health
• American Medical Technologists
• Clinical experience preferred!
• Epic experience a plus!
