About the unit

NICU is a 50 bed unit that provides critical care for newborns. Unit population consists of premature infants as well as full term infants that require specialty care from our Neonatology team. We care for infants from birth to discharge. Some infants are transferred to the unit from other hospitals. We have a large multidisciplinary team that partners with parents and provides quality Nursing and medical care to our patients.

Scope of work

Coordinates aspects of patient care by managing communication and clerical tasks essential to the functioning of the addition to communication and clerical tasks she/he monitors and stocks supplies. Provides patient care and related functions as delegated by and under the direction of a registered nurse.

Qualifications

High school graduate or equivalent

Previous hospital or nursing home experience preferred

American Heart Association or American Red Cross Basic Life Support required

Current CNA certification preferred
