Clinical Assistant Professor, Nursing

The Department of Nursing invites applications for a Full-Time Nursing Faculty position. We seek an enthusiastic student-centered nurse educator committed to preparing the next generation of professional nurses through excellence in teaching clinical instruction advising and service.

Responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate nursing courses in classroom laboratory simulation online and clinical settings.

• Implement and evaluate curriculum and student learning.
• Advise and mentor nursing students.
• Supervise students in clinical experiences and ensure safe effective learning.
• Participate in curriculum development program assessment accreditation activities and committee service.
• Maintain professional competence through continued practice and professional development.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• Masters degree in Nursing (MSN) or higher.
• Active unencumbered Virginia RN license or eligibility through the Nurse Licensure Compact.
• Minimum of two years of clinical nursing experience.
• Experience in nursing education or demonstrated teaching ability preferred.
• Strong communication organizational and interpersonal skills.
