JOB SUMMARY:
The US Eye Practice System Specialist EHR supports the companys electronic health record system and a variety of software platforms designed to enhance clinical integration across all company locations.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS (other duties as required):
  • Assist with the configuration maintenance and performance of the EHR and other ancillary systems.
  • Advises on and coordinates implementation of policies protocols and systems which improve practice productivity efficiency and customer service which support the enhancement of revenue.
  • Plans develops and administers comprehensive EHR education including technical skills ophthalmic/medical knowledge and EHR protocols.
  • Provides individual and group training to new ophthalmic technicians and newly partnered practices.
  • Ensures clinical policies procedures and protocols are understood by new partnerships.
  • Coordinates in-house continuing education programs for clinical and non-clinical personnel.
  • Assist with system upgrades testing and go-lives in collaboration with IT and vendor teams.
  • Continuously reviews the effectiveness of the ICP training program. Makes changes as appropriate.
  • Audit physician EHR charts including new provider adoption and proper use of the system as well as MIPS quality measure compliance as required
  • Adherence to applicable laws regulations and contractual obligations. Follows the principles of the Compliance Program as well as the Code of Conduct.
  • Works directly with system vendors to set up new practice(s) locations and providers
  • Manages EHR system conversion and go-live

POSITION TYPE AND EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK:
This is a full-time position. Days and hours are Monday through Friday 8:00 A.M. 5:00 P.M.

TRAVEL:
Travel is required for training.

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Two years of working in a medical office supporting front-office and revenue cycle workflows.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Working knowledge of NextGen Enterprise Practice Management preferred.
  • Knowledge of MIPS (CMS) program preferred.
