Job Summary
Responsible for supervising the front and back office site staff. Supervise patient care activities related to efficient patient flow positive patient relations and consistency of operations for their designated site(s). This responsibility includes working collaboratively with the Center Manager to ensure patient satisfaction employee satisfaction improving the health status of patients and a safe culturally sensitive aesthetically appropriate environment of care.
This position will supervise our Merced SHAW Clinic - Urgent Care & Internal Medicine.
Schedule availability from Monday Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm availability.
Compensation:
$26.87- $ 28.21 an hour

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Demonstrates effective communication and problem-solving skills.
- Supports implements and fosters greater staff understanding of the Mission Vision and Values of Golden Valley Health Centers.
- Responsible for the direct supervision of the site staff to assure efficient patient flow and the adherence to established policies procedures and work instructions.
- Actively monitor patient flow to ensure staff are following established guidelines and workflows.
- Monitor and ensure proper data input of patient demographic information and appointment scheduling in the appropriate system.
- Responsible for conducting skills assessments in accordance with current organizational standards.
- Responsible for training staff on the proper functions of the practice management and electronic health record system along with other company established practices.
- Understand enrollment processes for Medi-Cal Medicare and Covered California programs.
- Responsible for the timely completion and submission of employee performance evaluations.
- Complete and assure timely review approval and submission of employee timesheets and time off requests in accordance with policies and procedures.
- Order all office medical supplies and medical forms needed for the site(s).
- Responsible for maintaining a safe and clean work/patient care environment.
- In conjunction with the Center Manager organize and conduct staff meetings.
- Attend supervisory and other meetings as required.
- Coach and empower staff to provide an exceptional patient care and staff experience.
- Manage any performance deficits in collaboration with Human Resources Center Manager and Director.
- Manage medical supply pharmaceutical and vaccine stock and ordering.
- Assist Center Manager in reviewing the monthly site financials and ensuring the site(s) operate within scheduled budget.
- Actively monitor and manage patient flow and staff performance while frequently rounding the clinic floor.
- Maintain data to monitor site compliance with quality standards as set forth by the Company The Joint Commission OSHA HIPAA and other external agencies.
- Troubleshoot patient complaints and grievances as assigned.
- Proactively assume responsibility for continuous improvement activities.
- Other duties and projects as assigned.
Min. Qualifications
- Working knowledge of medical clinic services medical assistant and medical front office reception scope of work.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel Word and PowerPoint.
- Ability to supervise and train multiple employees.
- Must be able to build positive relationships with staff and medical providers to work as a team.
- Excellent written verbal analytical and communication skills.
- Must be able approachable and show respect for others communicate skillfully and handle multiple priorities.
- Must be able to interpret financial statements.
- Must have the ability and skills to implement and manage change.
- Travel to sites and trainings as required.
- Acceptable driving record a valid California drivers license and liability vehicle insurance required.
Physical Demands
- Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds regularly up 40 pounds occasionally and push up to 100 pounds (on wheels) on rare occasions.
- Must be able to hear staff on the phone and those who are served in-person and speak clearly in order to communicate information to patients and staff.
- Must have vision with or without lenses that is adequate to read memos a computer screen personnel forms and clinical and administrative documents.
- Must have high manual dexterity.
- Must be able to reach above the shoulder level to work must be able to bend squat and sit stand stoop crouching reaching kneeling twisting/turning fingering and feeling.
Work Environment

Education/Experience Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Medical Assistant certificate from an accredited program.
- Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification.
- Minimum of three (3) years experience in healthcare.
- One (1) year Electronic Health Record (EHR)/Electronic Practice Management (EPM) experience.
- Minimum of three (3) years experience as a Medical Assistant or Medical Front Office Receptionist demonstrating progressive responsibility.
- One (1) year supervisory experience preferred.
- Bilingual English/Spanish desired.
