Job Summary
Position: Clinic Receptionist
Status: Part-time hourly non-exempt
Pay Rate: $18/hour based on experience
Description:
Join a caring team and work with animals every day! This position performs receptionist duties and assists the APAs Wellness Clinic clients. They also assist veterinarians with animal restraint and other wellness clinic procedures. Applicants should have friendly and professional customer service skills and be comfortable handling animals.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide assistance to veterinarians with restraint and other wellness procedures in the Wellness Clinic
- Provide client support and coordination for the Wellness Clinic
- Provide administrative support including filing processing payment database entry
- Field phone calls and requests made to the Wellness Clinic
- Weigh animals and take temperatures
- Assist with testing vaccinations and medications
- Clean exam areas between clients and restock supplies
- Represent the Wellness Clinic with professionalism and a positive demeanor
- All other duties as assigned

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
1. More than 1 year experience in animal health or welfare.
2. High school diploma or equivalent & computer literacy.
3. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
4. Excellent customer service skills.
5. Experience with care and handling of domestic animals of various types.
6. Ability to represent the Animal Protective Association in a professional manner.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
