Job Summary
Job Summary (List Format) Chief Clerk Rhode Island Department of Health
- Serve as primary clerk for scanning and archiving public water system records (current and historical) in compliance with records retention policies.
- Organize and maintain both physical and digital records for the department.
- Scan upload and archive documents according to state and departmental guidelines.
- Track routine documents submitted under the Lead and Copper Rule (LCR) regulations and enter tracking data into the Safe Drinking Water Information System (SDWIS).
- File documents in both electronic and hard copy formats for accurate recordkeeping.
- Assist with general administrative office tasks including mailing answering telephones and filing as needed.
- Follow supervisors instructions regarding policies and objectives and perform other duties as assigned.
- Utilize Microsoft Office and office equipment (scanners printers) to fulfill daily work requirements.
- Maintain attention to detail and organizational standards.
- Foster effective working relationships with coworkers supervisors and the public.
