Patient Registrar Russian FluencyPride Health is hiring a Patient Registrar Russian Fluency for one of its clients in Brooklyn is a 13-week contract with the possibility of an extension with competitive pay and : Brooklyn NY 11215Length of assignment: 13 weeks (Possibility of an extension)Pay range: $23 $26 per hourShift / Schedule: Onsite; Monday Friday 8:30 AM 5:00 PMJob SummaryThe Patient Registrar is responsible for greeting and registering patients obtaining demographic and insurance information scheduling appointments verifying insurance eligibility collecting payments and supporting efficient patient flow in a primary care or multispecialty medical office setting. The role requires strong customer service data entry and communication skills along with fluency in Responsibilities Greet and register patients in a courteous and professional manner. Obtain patient demographic and insurance information and enter into the computer system. Pre-register patients in the online system and obtain medical record numbers as needed. Perform insurance verification checks for Medicare Medicaid Blue Cross and other carriers. Schedule and maintain daily appointment schedules while ensuring efficient appointment flow. Retrieve and prepare patient charts prior to appointments and ensure test results are documented. Request missing test results and send charts to appropriate departments for refiling. Retrieve laboratory and radiographic data from clinic systems and laboratories. Coordinate with referring offices and internal departments to schedule patient exams and procedures. Request and obtain valid physician requisitions for all exams. Assign and update billing codes and ensure timely submission of third-party billing information. Prepare paperwork including authorizations requisitions diagnostic testing requests and transportation reimbursements. Verify eligibility determine patient liability and obtain required authorizations. Notify patients of financial obligations and establish payment arrangements per financial policies. Counsel patients on payment options Medicaid eligibility and charity care qualifications. Work with MEU and Social Services to determine Medicaid eligibility and required documentation. Collect co-payments and fees issue receipts and reconcile daily cash collections. Assist with compiling data for statistical reports and summaries. Perform additional duties as High School Diploma or GED required. One (1) year of clerical experience in a primary care or multispecialty medical office. Customer service experience required. Data entry skills of 4500 keystrokes required. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Telephone computer and keyboarding proficiency. Knowledge of health insurance benefits and requirements.
