Position Summary
The District is seeking a dependable and flexible temporary substitute clerical employee to provide per-diem administrative support in Central Office while covering an employee leave. The position will support the Curriculum Department and Family Center with primary responsibility for school choice elementary student registration and other administrative tasks as assigned.
Essential Responsibilities
- Provide general clerical and administrative support to the Curriculum Department and Family Center.
- Support the Districts school choice process including organizing applications and records communicating routine information and assisting with related administrative requirements.
- Assist families with elementary student registration and enrollment including receiving and reviewing documentation entering information and following up on incomplete materials.
- Answer and direct telephone calls respond to routine inquiries and welcome visitors in a professional and helpful manner.
- Prepare organize copy scan file and distribute documents and materials.
- Enter update and maintain information in District systems spreadsheets and records while protecting confidential information.
- Assist with scheduling correspondence mailings supply organization and meeting or event preparation.
- Communicate and collaborate effectively with Central Office departments school staff families and community partners.
- Perform other related administrative duties as assigned to meet temporary coverage needs.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional administrative training or college coursework preferred.
- Prior clerical office school-district or customer-service experience preferred.
- Strong organizational communication and interpersonal skills.
- Working knowledge of common office technology including email word processing spreadsheets and shared electronic files.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities follow directions work collaboratively and maintain accuracy.
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and use sound judgment when handling student family and employee information.
- Multilingual skills are valued and encouraged.
Terms of Employment
This is a temporary per-diem clerical assignment created to provide leave coverage and operational support. Workdays and hours will be scheduled based on District needs. The length of the assignment will be determined by the duration of the employee leave which is unknown at this time.
