Job Summary

Clerical Assistant - Admissions & Outreach SC2ADMITSAIS (FA26)
Student Worker Eligibility:
Must be enrolled in at least 6 credit hours for Fall/Spring semesteror 1 credit hour for Summer semester.
Cumulative GPA of 2.0 or above. If a first semester student GPA requirement is waived.
If a Student qualifies for Federal Work Study the Student will be hired as a Federal Work Study employee to utilize these funds.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
To assist the Admissions and Outreach Office.

  • Enter and reconcile data for various projects.
  • Provide backup assistance for the Admission and Outreach front desk to provide information and directions in person and by email and phone.
  • Assist with projects whenever necessary to accomplish the objectives in the Admissions and Outreach Office.
  • Knowledge of the College of DuPage application process.
  • Comfortable with doing monotonous tasks.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Qualifications:

    • Education
      • THIS IS A STUDENT JOB.
      • High school diploma or equivalent.
      • Must be enrolled in at least 6 credit hours for Fall/Spring semester or 1 credit hour for Summer semester.
      • Cumulative GPA of 2.0 or above.
      • If a first semester student GPA requirement is waived.
      • If a Student qualifies for Federal Work Study the Student will be hired as a Federal Work Study employee to utilize these funds.
      • High School courses in office or computer technology or current major in Office Technology Information or Computer Information Systems preferred.
    • Experience
      • Proficient in English language required.
      • Good listening skills required.
      • Positive and caring attitude required.
      • Basic computer skills required.
      • Frequent typing required.
      • Must be able to handle multiple tasks at a time required.
      • Accurate and efficient with data entry required.
      • Preference will be given to students that can work more than 3 hour shifts preferred.
      • Available 8-12pm or 9-1pm.
    • Licenses and Certifications
      • COD Training
        • Compliance Training

      Working Conditions:

    • Can be stressful during peak enrollment periods.
    • Bending and lifting college materials in bundles of up to 25 pounds.
    • This student position does not require pre-employment testing.
    • Pay Rate: Student Rate 1 - $15.00 per hour
