Class A Driver

In this role you will provide services to the worlds largest telecommunications and cable providers. A CDL Class A Driver is responsible for operating commercial vehicles with a Class A drivers license.

3rd shift: 8:30PM - 8:30AM Sunday - Thursday

Duties and Responsibilities

Class A Truck Driver

• Inspects the truck pre- and post-trip.
• Accurately complete vehicle inspection sheets fuel consumption logs daily log sheets bills of lading vehicle trip records and expense reports.
• Ensures all cargo is loaded checked and safely secured during transit.
• Assists with or oversees loading and unloading of cargo to ensure secure transit.
• Acquires all proper signatures on shipping/receiving documents.
• Monitors the maintenance and repair of the truck.
• Provide excellent customer service by communicating professionally and representing the company positively.
• Responsible for following all Federal and State DOT regulations as well as warehouse safety regulations.
• Other duties as assigned.

Required Skills and Experience

• Requires a commercial drivers license (Class A CDL) and appropriate endorsements.
• Must be able to obtain a DOT medical card and maintain a complete US DOT driver qualification file.
• 2 years recent commercial delivery-driving experience.
• Valid state-issued drivers license with a clean driving record.
• Capacity to demonstrate reliability adaptability and dependability.
• Good hand-eye coordination.
• Thoroughness and attention to detail in task completion.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Skills and Experience

• Previous experience working in a high-volume distribution manufacturing technical service (i.e. testing and repair) or forward logistics operation a plus.
• Strong commitment to customer service.
• Possess specialized skills for managing hazardous materials.

Educational Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Physical Demands and Working Conditions

• The ability to lift push and/or pull up to 85 lbs. if necessary.
• Flexible shifts with the capability to undertake overnight trips 1-2 nights per week.
• Comfortable sitting for extended periods.
