About the Role
We are seeking a reliable and safety-focused Class A CDL Driver to join our this role you will be responsible for the safe and timely transport of freight across regional and/or OTR routes. You will represent our company on the road and play a critical role in delivering exceptional service to our customers.
Key Responsibilities
Operate Class A tractor-trailer safely and in compliance with all federal state and local regulations
Complete pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections per DOT requirements and document findings accurately
Transport freight along assigned routes meeting delivery schedules and customer expectations
Communicate proactively with dispatch regarding route status delays or mechanical issues
Load secure and unload cargo using proper techniques; verify freight against bills of lading
Maintain a clean organized and well-maintained vehicle at all times
Adhere strictly to Hours of Service (HOS) regulations and company safety policies
Requirements
Valid Class A Commercial Drivers License (CDL) - no restrictions
Minimum 2 years of verifiable Class A driving experience
Clean driving record: no DUIs reckless driving or major violations in the past 3 years
Current DOT medical certificate (valid Medical Examiners Certificate)
Proficiency with ELD systems and compliance with Hours of Service rules
Ability to pass pre-employment DOT drug screen and background check
Strong knowledge of FMCSA regulations and safe driving practices
Excellent time management skills and ability to operate independently
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with flatbed or specialized freight
Familiarity with regional routes in the Midwest or surrounding areas
Prior experience with load planning and freight documentation
Physical Requirements
Ability to sit for extended periods and operate heavy commercial vehicles
Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs unassisted for freight handling duties
Ability to climb in and out of cab and perform physical vehicle inspections
