Seeking an experienced Senior Civil Trial Attorney to manage a semi-autonomous litigation caseload involving potentially high-exposure matters. The ideal candidate will have extensive civil litigation defense experience and a proven track record of successfully trying cases to verdict in California State Superior Courts.
Key Responsibilities- Manage all phases of civil litigation from case inception through verdict and appeal.
- Conduct case evaluations discovery depositions motion practice and pre-trial negotiations.
- Prepare and argue motions including Motions in Limine.
- Draft pleadings motions discovery responses and other legal documents.
- Conduct legal research and analyze relevant statutes regulations and case law.
- Prepare for and attend hearings mediations arbitrations depositions and trials.
- Interview clients and witnesses and maintain detailed case documentation.
- Provide regular case updates and strategic recommendations to clients.
- Develop and implement litigation strategies to achieve favorable outcomes.
- Coordinate with trial experts and manage expert witness preparation.
- Monitor legal developments and advise clients regarding potential impacts on ongoing matters.
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Active membership in the California State Bar.
- Minimum 8 years of Civil Litigation Defense experience.
- First-chair trial experience with:
- At least 6 Jury Trials taken to verdict in California State Superior Court.
- At least 3 Bench Trials taken to verdict in California State Superior Court.
- Strong experience handling cases from inception through appeal.

This is a hybrid position. The first two weeks of employment require in-office attendance at the Fullerton California office. Thereafter the role may be performed semi-remotely with periodic in-person meetings and court appearances as required. Candidates must reside locally.
