Civil Service Reclassification / Reallocation Application

This is for current employees only to be considered for testing in a new civil service classification for the purpose of reclassification /reallocation of your current position. To complete a reclassification / reallocation you must complete a Civil Service application and upload all supporting documents. Your credentials will be reviewed and upon meeting the minimum qualifications of your new classification you will be scheduled for testing and placed on the classification Register.

To Complete a Civil Service Application: Please click on the Apply Now button please fully complete all sections of the online application including adding your full work history with specific details of your duties & responsibilities for each position held. Fully complete the education licensure certification and language sections. Upload a resume certifications licensures transcripts and diplomas within the application document section

Please note that once you have submitted your application you will not be able to make any order to revise your application you must withdraw and reapply. . Please ensure the application is fully completed and all supporting documents have been uploaded when submitting the application

Upon completing and submitting your application please notify UIC Human Resource Recruitment at . In the email please provide your Full Name UIN Current Department and the civil service classification you are requesting to considered for testing. Once your application has been reviewed you will be notified.
