Civil Engineering Intern Summer 2027

AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Civil Engineering Intern to join our Nashville TN office.

• Assist engineers with the design and development of civil aviation infrastructure projects.
• Prepare and revise engineering drawings using AutoCAD Civil 3D or other design software.
• Perform basic engineering calculations for grading drainage utilities runways taxiways or site development projects.
• Assist with quantity takeoffs material estimates cost calculations reviewing contractor submittals and requests for information ( RFI).
• Review survey data maps and project specifications.
• Assist in preparing technical reports permit applications and construction documents.
• Research applicable codes regulations and design standards.
• Participate in project meetings and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams.

• EXPERIENCE: No experience is generally required if accepted into an Associates or Bachelors degree program in a related technical field.

• EDUCATION: Must have completed 60 hours towards a civil engineering degree from an ABET accredited program by the start of the internship (Summer 2027).

Expected compensation range is between $25 - $31 hourly depending on skills experience and geographical location.
