IMEG is hiring a Civil Engineering Intern in Havre MT. Over 10-12 weeks you will work closely with experienced engineers and consultants on engineering analysis design field inspectionswritingreports preparing permit applications and site drainage and grading designs while learning the civil engineering trade.
In this role you will support project documentation coordination and job site observations while collaborating with cross-functional teams to meet project goals and client expectations within project budgets. You will contribute to work acrosssurvey tribal and public works markets helping deliver resilient environmentally responsible infrastructure.

What Youll Do
Assistwith design portions of projects related to discipline systems according to code and IMEG standards
Assistwith researching resources for commercially available equipment
Assistwith client relations project design notebooks and documentation for permanent record files
Assistwith coordinating design and schedule with other disciplines such as architectural structural electrical mechanical technology clerical and equipment suppliers
Assistwith documenting design decisions meetings and client instructions whilemonitoringproject design progress
Assistwith reviewing project documents for accuracy and completeness prior to requesting a final check
Assistwith preparing and issuing addendum information
Conduct periodic job site observations and other services as required by the contract services agreement
What Youll Bring
Education
Completed at least 2 years towards a Bachelor of Science (BS) Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent required
Required Skills/Abilities
May betoassistwith field duties such as surveying and materials testing
Strong interest in design consulting
Skill in the use of Microsoft Office programs CADsoftwareand BIM
Ability to clearly communicate in both oral and written communication to individuals or groups
Preferred
Prior internship experience in the building design consulting industry preferred
Physical Requirements
Regularly required to sit walk stand talk see hear and lift objects up to 25 pounds
Occasionally required to drive kneel stoop crouch crawl reach with hands or arms and grasp or pull
Will have limited exposure to outside weather conditions and loud noises

Survey-driven civil team across Montana and northern Minnesota with strong tribal and public-works work
Tribal infrastructure for Fort Peck Red Lake and Crow Tribe including road realignment and transit facilities
Water system improvements roadway design and wetland delineation for county and municipal clients
Recent work includes Fort Peck Milk River Road RealignmentTransportation;Crow Transit Building Government; and Havre Water System Improvements Water/Wastewater.
