Civil Engineer – Site Land Development

Position Title: Civil Engineer Site / Land Development (Confidential Client)
Location: Wheeling IL On-site (5 days a week)
Employment Type: Direct Hire

Our Client is a consulting firm providing civil engineering and site planning services with in-house land surveyors and site planners.

This is a great opportunity for an engineer with a couple years of experience and ready to take on more project responsibility. Our Client is specifically seeking local candidates for this role; candidates requiring relocation or those on limited work authorization/temporary permits will not be considered. Our Client is interested in Bachelor of Science or Engineering graduates who have internship experience or 12 years of experience as a Field Engineer or candidates with experience in land development. Please note that land surveyors are not a fit for this role. Our Client is willing to train and develop selected candidates and will support them in obtaining the necessary licensure to become Civil Engineers in accordance with state guidelines.

• Lead and support civil design projects from concept through construction
• Prepare and review grading drainage utility and site development plans
• Perform engineering calculations and ensure compliance with local and state regulations
• Coordinate closely with in-house land surveyors and site planners
• Communicate with municipalities clients and internal teams

• Experience with site development land development municipal or transportation projects.
• Bachelors degree in civil engineering
• 3 years of civil engineering experience
• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD
