Job Summary
STV is seeking a Civil Engineer for the Transportation Group in Los Angeles CA.
The Civil Engineer will play a key role in the planning design and execution of various civil engineering projects. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in civil engineering. The successful candidate will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure the successful completion of projects meeting high-quality standards and adhering to project timelines.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as a task lead on civil engineering projects from conceptualization through to completion ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and project specifications.
- Conduct feasibility studies site investigations and risk assessments to inform project design and development.
- Provide technical expertise in areas of transportation design to guide project teams and ensure engineering solutions align with industry best practices.
- Collaborate with architects planners and other stakeholders to integrate various project elements seamlessly.
- Prepare and review detailed engineering drawings specifications and cost estimates for accuracy and compliance.
- Mentor and provide guidance to junior engineers and team members fostering a collaborative and knowledge-sharing environment.
- Support coordination with clients contractors and regulatory agencies to address project-related issues and ensure project success.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required
- Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in civil engineering with a focus on plans specifications and estimates development.
- Experience in project management and delivery of complex civil engineering projects.
- Strong proficiency in relevant engineering software and tools.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Familiarity with applicable codes standards and regulatory requirements.
- Commitment to staying abreast of industry trends and incorporating innovative solutions into projects.
Compensation Range:
