Why This Role Matters
As a Civil Engineer II: Wastewater Engineer youll help design and improve the infrastructure that supports growing communities. Working alongside experienced engineers youll contribute to wastewater treatment and collection system projects while building your technical expertise and progressing toward PE licensure.
What Youll Do
- Support the planning design and development of wastewater collection and treatment infrastructure including rehabilitation and new construction projects.
- Prepare engineering calculations drawings specifications and technical documentation.
- Conduct field investigations and site visits.
- Assist with technical reports cost estimates project documentation and construction administration.
- Apply engineering principles related to hydraulics pipeline networks and wastewater treatment systems.
- Participate in project meetings client discussions and proposal efforts.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
- Work under the guidance of senior engineers while taking on increasing responsibility.

What Youll Bring
Education & Experience
- Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering Environmental Engineering Biological Engineering Agricultural Engineering or a related field.
- 2 years of relevant experience.
- Passed the FE (Fundamentals of Engineering) exam and actively working toward Professional Engineer (PE) licensure.
Technical Skills
- Familiarity with AutoCAD and GIS software.
- Experience in the design of wastewater systems.
- Ability to utilize modeling software such as HEC-RAS InfoWorks GPS-X and PCSWMM.
- Knowledge of EPA state and local regulatory requirements.
- Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Bluebeam.

Travel
Occasional travel to project sites client meetings and field investigations may be required.
