The Poughkeepsie NY office of Modjeski and Masters Inc. is seeking Entry Level Civil/Structural Bridge Design Engineers

What Were Looking For

• A minimum of a BS degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited college or university
• 0 - 4 years of Bridge Engineering experience
• Engineer Intern (EI) Certification or the ability to receive Certification within 6 months of hire date

What Youll Do

• Review and check standard structural design calculations.
• Assist with structural analysis and design of standard bridge components using analysis software.
• Assist with the development of preliminary details using CAD software and provide information to CAD technicians for development of contract plans.
• Provide information for design reports.
• Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned including field inspections and construction serviceassignments.
• Communicate effectively in English both orally and in writing.
• Assist with the preparation of project-related documents and internal correspondence.
• Assist and perform and check quantity take-offs from contract plans.
• Review and check drawings under the careful supervision of a Senior Engineer
• Use engineering analysis software such as LUSAS RISA-3D LEAP Bridge AutoCAD MicroStationetc.
• Able to learn and correctly apply relevant design specifications including: AASHTO AREMA AISC ACI etc.

As a Structural Bridge Design Engineer with Modjeski and Masters you will work on a variety of challenging and rewarding bridge engineering projects for a myriad of transportation clients.
