JOB TITLE: Shift SupervisorDEPARTMENT: SecurityJOB SUMMARY:Responsible for providing outstanding friendly and informative guest service while maintaining safety throughout the property as directed. Works to ensure maximum Guest safety at all times while periodically patrolling assigned JOB FUNCTIONS:Responsible for practicing supporting and promoting the Company Service Standards at all timesAdhere to all company service and operating standards and ensures direct reports adhere to all company policiesAssist Supervisor in the day to day activities; provides training planning assigning and directing work; appraise performance rewarding and disciplining employees; and addresses complaints and resolving issuesMaintain a professional departmental company and communityAnswers Guest questions in a manner that reflects an understanding of the department and property in generalProtect the companys assets relative to theft assault fire and other safety issuesObserve and report unusual or suspicious behaviorEscalate emergency situations to Assistant director and Director as neededAssist the Security Manager in ensuring all shift administration is completed correctly and on time including incident reports logs statistics and other documentationQUALIFICATIONS:Ability to read and speak English and communicate effectively with Guests Team Members and Management in both written and verbal formUnderstand and comply with all company departmental and Gaming Control Board rules and regulations policies and proceduresAbility to multitaskMust be able to work any day of the week and any shift to include weekends and holidaysMust be able to establish and maintain effective working relationship with Team Members and GuestsMust be at least 21 years of ageMust be able to obtain required work cardsEDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:High School diploma or general education degree (GED) requiredComplete property academy as assignedPHYSICAL MENTAL AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:Comfortable kneeling carrying bending walking and standing for extended periods of timeWork is typically in an area which may be unusually hot cold noisy ability to see color and may contain secondhand smokeAbility to stand and walk for long periods of timeRespond to emergencies and incidents within designated areas promptly and according to policyAbility to lift 50 poundsConstant contact with fellow Team Members and GuestsAbility to see colorDISCLAIMER:This is not necessarily an exhaustive list of all responsibilities skills duties requirements efforts or working conditions associated with the job.
