JOB TITLE: MECHANICAL TECHNICIANDEPARTMENT: FACILITIESSTATUS: FULL TIMEREPORTS TO: FACILITIES MANAGER / DIRECTOR OF FACILITIESJOB SUMMARY:The Mechanical Technician is responsible for the installation maintenance troubleshooting and repair of mechanical systems and equipment throughout the casino property. This role ensures that gaming floors hotel areas kitchens HVAC systems and back-of-house operations run safely efficiently and in compliance with all regulatory and safety JOB FUNCTIONS:Perform preventive maintenance and corrective repairs on mechanical systems including HVAC boilers chillers pumps compressors elevators (as applicable) and kitchen diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical failures to minimize downtime and disruption to casino promptly to emergency maintenance calls on a 24/7 rotating schedule as and service plumbing piping valves and mechanical and interpret blueprints schematics and technical accurate maintenance logs work orders and inspection all work complies with local building codes OSHA standards and gaming regulatory with outside contractors and vendors for specialized repairs or a clean and safe work environment in guest and back-of-house special projects renovations and system upgrades as :High school diploma or GED required; technical school or vocational training preferred.35 years of experience in mechanical maintenance preferably in a hotel casino resort or large commercial working knowledge of HVAC plumbing and general mechanical to troubleshoot complex mechanical issues under time with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) to work flexible schedules including nights weekends and be able to obtain and maintain any required gaming license or background MENTAL AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:Ability to lift up to 50 pounds to climb ladders work in confined spaces and stand or walk for extended dexterity to use hand and power tools :Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skillsAttention to detail and safety awarenessCustomer-service mindset for guest-facing repairsTeamwork and communication skillsReliability and time managementDISCLAIMER:This is not necessarily an exhaustive list of all responsibilities skills duties requirements efforts or working conditions associated with the job.
