RockPointe Church is a multi-campus church based in Flower Mound Texas centered on a clear mission: to love God fully while making more and better followers of Christ. With services across two campuses (three miles from one another) and a wide range of ministries the church emphasizes biblical teaching worship and community connection for people in every stage of life. From children and students to adults and families RockPointe offers structured environments like small groups discipleship programs and care ministries designed to help individuals grow spiritually and build meaningful relationships. At its core RockPointe aims to be a place where people can belong and take next steps in their faith whether thats through serving locally and globally joining a group or participating in church life beyond church places a strong focus on church planting with a goal of planting andsupporting 50 churches in the next 10 RockPointe is embarking on a new chapter through the Opening Doors initiative. This season is dedicated to pursuing deeper faith intentional discipleship and sacrificial generosity all aimed at fostering a more significant impact locally and across the globe. Overall RockPointe presents itself as a welcoming mission-driven church seeking to develop committed followers of Jesus through intentional discipleship and relational community.

About the Church Planting Resident

The Church Planting Resident at RockPointe Church is designed for those exploring to launch a gospel-centered congregation after two years. This residency uses RockPointes Mens Ministry as the primary training ground. By shepherding leading and discipling the men of the church the Resident will gain hands-on experience in building a healthy ministry culture developing leaders and multiplying disciples.

In addition to leading the Mens Ministry the Resident will engage in church planting developmentclarifying their vision engaging in missional outreach and building a prospective core team. The ideal candidate is an entrepreneurial biblically grounded servant leader called to plant a church with a demonstrated ability to teach cast vision mobilize teams and disciple others.

The Church Planting Residents responsibilities include:

Mens Ministry Leadership (Training Ground)

• Ministry Oversight & Administration: Oversee the Mens Ministry budget annual programming calendar goal setting and key initiatives (e.g. Mens Night retreat planning Bible studies).
• Leadership Multiplication: Identify recruit train and deploy lay leaders to lead small groups discipling environments and ministry teamstreating this process as a model for launching future ministry teams.
• Inreach & Discipleship: Build relational pathways to connect men into biblical communities. Shepherd men through intentional one-on-one discipleship mentoring and group environments.
• Outreach & Evangelism: Develop and execute evangelistic strategies that engage unchurched men in the community prioritizing non-event-driven relational outreach.
• Pastoral Care & Ordinances: Handle pastoral needs including hospital visits connection calls baptism candidate interviews member care and officiating weddings or funerals as requested.

Church Planting Development & Residency

• Vision & Strategy Formulation: Develop refine and articulate a clear church planting vision target demographic strategy and strategic plan under the mentorship of executive leadership.
• Core Team & Residency Pipeline: Cultivate relationships within RockPointe to identify recruit and train potential core team members and launch leaders.
• Assessment & Coaching: Participate fully in designated church planting assessments cohort training and regular coaching sessions with external planting networks and internal leadership.
• Field Fundraising & Partner Support: Learn and execute support-raising strategies to build a donor network and financial backing for the future church plant.

Operational and Staff Collaboration

• Team Participation: Attend and contribute to key staff gatherings: All Staff Church Operations Adult Discipleship Team and Mens Leadership Council.
• Cross-Ministry Support: Collaborate with the Womens Minister Marriage Pastor and Creative Team for ministry alignment event promotion and holistic care. Participate in monthly Dinner with the Pastor to connect with prospective members.
• Staff Culture: Model RockPointe Churchs staff values maintain strict confidentiality and actively engage in the corporate worship life of the church.

What you bring

The following describes many of the characteristics of the ideal candidate for the Mens Minister:

Education and Experience

• Masters degree in theological studies (. M.A. in Missiology or equivalent) preferred or current enrollment in/commitment to pursue higher theological education.
• Minimum of 35 years of active ministry experience in a local church context.
• Clear distinct call to plant and lead an autonomous local church within 24 months of starting the residency.
• Proven track record of building and galvanizing teams moving ministry beyond one-on-one maintenance to scalable multiplication.
• Demonstrated experience in high-connectivity church environments with multiple pathways for engagement and high-volume initiatives.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities

• Entrepreneurial Drive: Self-starter comfortable operating in fast-paced fluid environments with a high degree of initiative and adaptability.
• Communication & Teaching: Excellent oral and written communication skills with proven ability to preach effectively to large congregations and teach small groups.
• Tech & Administrative Competency: Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 (Word Excel Teams SharePoint) and adaptable to church software systems (TouchPoint eSpace Asana Canva social platforms).
• Project & Time Management: Strong organizational ability to juggle residency benchmarks alongside active ministry execution.
