As a Child and Family Specialist for California MENTOR Family Support Services a member of the Sevita Family youll provide assistance and guidance to thechildren and families served as a mentor coach and day the connections you make and the compassion you bring make a difference in the lives of our participants. Youll work alongside a dedicated team of staff and supportive supervisors while you grow your : $49000 Annually (Salary Plus Overtime)Community based - mileage reimbursementResponsibilities:Provide in-home and community based supports - connect child and family to resources (schools parks recreation etc.)Attend review hearings and Child and Family Team (CFT) meetingsAdvocate forchild and familys needsand prepare child and family for Child and Family Team (CFT) activitiesWork with foster families to build and maintain positive supportive and encouraging working relationships and connect them to resourcesPrepare each foster child for the identified permanency goal Manage conflict and family crises through reference to family safety planCo-facilitate training and/or activities for childrenProvide mentoring and teaching resources: nurturing/parenting skills problem-solving/conflict resolution skills child development self-esteem concepts safety plan for children and parents and basic needsDocumentation and record keepingQualifications:Associate Arts degree in Human Services Social Work or Psychology plus 1 year experience working with high risk youth; OR a high school diploma (or GED) plus 3 years experience working with high risk youthAn equivalent combination of education and experienceCurrent drivers license (valid for 1 year minimum) car registration and auto insuranceSuccessful clearance of local and/or state background checksA reliable responsible attitude compassionate approach and a commitment to quality in everything you doWhy Join Us Full-time position (40 hours/week) Full compensation/benefits package plus401(k) with company Paid time off and holiday -Demand Pay-get paid for the days you work without waiting for payday!
