The Learning Experience in White Plains is seeking a dependable hardworking and detail-oriented Custodian to help maintain a clean safe and welcoming environment for our children families and staff. This role is essential in supporting daily center operations and ensuring the facility consistently meets health safety and licensing standards.
Pay: $18-$22/hr
Schedule
- 25 - 30 hour work day opportunities available
- 2:00-8:00pm
- Prior custodial janitorial or facility maintenance experience preferred
- Ability to work independently and efficiently
- Strong attention to detail and reliability
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced childcare environment
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and perform physical tasks throughout the day
- Must be dependable professional and team-oriented

- Maintain cleanliness throughout classrooms hallways bathrooms offices kitchen and common areas
- Perform daily cleaning and sanitizing duties according to center standards and licensing requirements
- Sweep mop vacuum dust and disinfect surfaces throughout the building
- Manage trash removal and recycling throughout the day
- Monitor and restock cleaning and restroom supplies
- Assist with classroom setup furniture movement and minor maintenance tasks
- Report maintenance or safety concerns promptly to leadership
- Support playground cleanliness and outdoor upkeep
- Help maintain a safe environment for children and staff at all times
- Follow all health sanitation and safety procedures
