Job Summary

POSITION SUMMARY:

This position is responsible for providing skilled childcare to children who enroll at Kids Care Plus. The Teacher will implement daily activities that promote learning independence and social interactions.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Provide skilled childcare to toddlers and children aged two through twelve years.

Reinforce lessons presented by the Lead Teacher by reviewing material with students one-on-one or in small groups.

Teach simple drawing painting craft and language skills (e.g. songs)

Actively participate in recreational play and teaching activities.

Engage with children by applying knowledge of childhood development including learning behavior and physical mental and emotional development.

Maintain open communication with parents and caregivers.

Observe and monitor childrens play and interactive activities.

Instruct children in health and personal habits such as eating resting and toilet habits

Assisting in preparing and serving childrens meals snacks or beverages

Attending to the hygienic needs of the children (including changing diapers)

Maintain MSDE yearly COK clock hours.

EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS:

Be at least 19 years of age

Have a high school diploma or equivalent education

90 clock hours or equivalent of approved early childhood coursework

EXPERIENCE:

Have at least one (1) year of experience working with preschoolers in an approved setting

Three (3) hours in ADA Compliance

Nine (9) clock hours of approved training in communicating with staff parents and the public

Have dependable transportation
