Job Summary
- About the Position
We are hiring a Child Care Program Coordinator at the City of Saint Paul to help plan coordinate and lead engaging school-age child care and educational programs for youth and families. This position plays an important role in creating safe inclusive and enriching environments for children while supporting staff families and program operations.
Heres what you can expect to do:
- Plan develop and implement educational and recreational programs and curriculum for school-age children.
- Coordinate and oversee the day-to-day operations of child care programs including activities schedules and program logistics.
- Recruit train supervise and support staff volunteers interns and instructors working within the program.
- Build positive relationships with children families schools and community partners while providing excellent customer service.
- Monitor program effectiveness maintain records and reports manage budgets and payments and ensure compliance with applicable policies standards and safety requirements.

- Position Requirements
Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education or related field
AND
Two years of experience in elementary classroom instruction or coordinating an educational and/or school-age child care program serving children ages 5-12.
Must have a current certification by the American Red Cross in Standard First Aid and Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR).
Must possess and maintain a valid Minnesota Class D Drivers License or equivalent out-of-state drivers license.
