Child Care Attendant

Hours: Monday-Friday 7:00 am to 2:27 pm
Pay: $19.29 per hour

The Child Care Attendant is responsible for providing direct supervision support and care to children in educational recreational and community-based settings. The ideal candidate will foster a positive atmosphere encourage appropriate social interactions and ensure the safety and well-being of all children in their care.

Supervise and actively engage children throughout daily activities

Assist children with personal care needs and daily routines as needed

Promote positive behavior and reinforce healthy social interactions

Monitor childrens safety well-being and participation throughout the day

Assist with educational recreational and enrichment activities

Support reading homework and skill-building exercises

Encourage independence while providing guidance and assistance

Help children develop communication teamwork and conflict-resolution skills

Observe and document behaviors incidents and developmental progress

Report concerns regarding child safety health or behavior to supervisors

Support children during community outings field trips and special events

Maintain a clean organized and welcoming environment

Collaborate effectively with staff families and other professionals

Follow all childcare safety and supervision procedures

Perform other duties as assigned

• High School Diploma or GED required

• Previous childcare youth development education caregiving camp counseling or related experience preferred
• Experience working with children of various ages is highly desirable

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Patience compassion and a positive attitude

Ability to work effectively with children from diverse backgrounds

Strong observation and problem-solving skills

Ability to follow written and verbal instructions

Dependability professionalism and strong work ethic

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Criminal Background Check

• Ability to pass all client and site-specific pre-employment requirements
