Job Summary:
The CNO ensures that quality nursing care is rendered to all patients in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act DNV TriState Health (TSH) and nursing department standards. Oversees directs and evaluates all activities and programs associated with the day-to-day operations of nursing and other departments as assigned. Supervises and evaluates performance of all direct reports. Assures implementation of TSH initiatives and policies while guiding TSH to be high-performing in the areas of patient safety; clinical outcomes (quality) and positive financial performance.
Education and Training:
- Bachelors degree in Nursing and Masters degree in Nursing Business Administration or Health Care Administration required.
Licensures and Certifications:
- Current Washington State RN license or Multi-State RN license required.
Experience:
- Minimum of five (5) years as a hospital nursing executive.
Skills and Abilities:
- Demonstrated leadership and an ability to influence and motivate others.
- Thorough knowledge of legal regulatory ethical managerial organizational requirements principles and standards of nursing care for hospitals and health care systems.
