Chief Engineer

The Chief Engineer responsible for all working matters under the operations and maintenance of building systems at CMIs customer site in Des Moines Iowa.

Key Job Functions

• Act as the onsite first-line Supervisor to O&M staff
• Responsible for the buildings systems including but not limited to mechanical electrical plumbing and supervision of technicians.
• Performs Preventive Maintenance tasks involving keeping equipment in good working order to reduce downtime and prevent breakdowns.
• Shall be onsite in a full-time capacity and on-call to respond to emergencies.

Qualifications :

• High School Diploma
• Experience in supervising and directing building operations and maintenance of equipment for a singular federal facility of at least 500000 square feet.
• Shall possess one or more of the following certifications:
  • 1. North American Technician Excellence (NATE) HVAC Service Technician Certification
  • 2. HVAC Excellence Professional Level Certification
  • 3. UA Star HVAC Mastery Certification
• Must maintain a minimum of 16 hours of continuing education per year from either NATE HVAC Excellence or UA Star recognized provider program.
