Job Summary

We are seeking an analytical brain with a passion for the health and wellness industry. We are in search for someone who is passionate about chemistry and is looking to develop their skills. The Chemist I will play an integral role in our team by testing wide range of products and reporting results providing status updates to the supervisor and/or laboratory : Accurately perform analytical testing of samples to support incoming raw materials in-process productionfinished product and stability samples with some and document routine analytical testing to support raw material and/or product release including but not limited to stability samples and semi-finished with a variety of special laboratory projects including but not limited to: testing method transfer method improvement and material homogenization of the products. Perform technical (peer) review of data generated by other analysts (notebook write-ups worksheets etc.) as QC Lab department with laboratory investigation documentation for OOS testing uphold and revise standard operating proceduresAssure that all work areas are maintained in a neat and orderly fashion. Perform necessary cleaning maintenance and calibration verification of instrumentation as analytical instrumentation such as FTIR UV HPLC UPLC GC GCMS ICP TLC and wet chemistry techniques and have good scientific understanding of these all activities in compliance with the SOPs and cGLP/cGMP other responsibilities as assigned by laboratory management or designeeQualifications: *Note: Preference for candidates with experience in analytical testing particularly in the following areas:Knowledge of pesticide and residual solvent testingHands-on experience with Gas Chromatography (GC) and Liquid Chromatography (LC) instrumentsBachelors Degree in SciencePrior experience in a professional laboratory environment; 0-2 yearsFamiliar with one or more of the following: Liquid Chromatography (HPLC or HPTLC) ICP-OES ICP-MS or Nitrogen combustion analyzerExcellent written and communication skillsComputer knowledge with Microsoft Office is experience with electronic laboratory management system is to work in a fast-paced Requirements: Must be able to lift 50lbsMust be able to stand for 8 hoursMust be able to work in a physically challenging environmentWe proudly offer: Medical Dental Vision 401K with Company Match Pet insurance and more!We reward the hard work of our team members with fun and exciting company events Summer Picnic Festive Packages Holiday Celebrations and associate referral bonuses!Founded in 2011 Piping Rock Health Products has gone on to win Long Islands Top Workplaces Award 6 years in a row & securing the spot as Top Supplement Manufacturing Company 2024 by Food Business Review!
