Position Qualifications

Diploma in Nursing required or

Associates Degree Nursing required or

BSN (preferred)

1 Year of experience as a clinical nurse in an acute care setting required

2 years of experience as a clinical nurse in an acute care setting preferred

RN - Registered Nurse Upon Hire (Required)

BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support Upon Hire (Required)

NRP Neonatal Resuscitation Program within 90 days required and

NRPA Advanced Neonatal Resuscitation Program within 90 days required and

CPI Crisis Prevention Intervention training within 90 days and maintained annually required

Additional Job Responsibilities

Delegation - Understanding of the need to effectively delegate tasks to others and the ability to empower and motivate associates to take over tasks and responsibilities to accomplish results for which the manager maintains ultimate accountability.
Customer Interaction - Knowledge of the principles and techniques of communicating with a customer; ability to utilize practices tools and techniques for customer interaction.
Patient Safety - Knowledge of and experience with tools techniques and practices for ensuring a safe and harm-free environment for patients; ability to recognize risks and take steps to minimize them.
Care Coordination - Knowledge of the medical social economic and other services provided by other departments or facilities and the ability to integrate these multidisciplinary treatments for optimal patient care.
Clinical Policies and Standards - Knowledge of all clinical standards and policies set for a healthcare environment; ability to use industry standards policies and procedures in the processes of clinical practice.
Patient Rights - Knowledge of principles and practices associated with the rights and responsibilities of patients and caregivers; ability to apply these theories to identify report deal with and prevent patient rights violations.
