The Chapel Worship Leader is responsible for planning organizing and leading weekly worship for elementary-aged students at the Lower School. This role ensures that students are engaged in Christ-centered worship through music. This individual will recruit and coordinate the community of parent and staff musicians and will meet regularly with administrators to plan services. This is a 10-month hourly-based position averaging 5-6 hours per week. Chapel responsibilities take place on Wednesday mornings from 8:00-9:15. Additional prep hours are flexible.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan organize and lead weekly chapel services using a variety of music genres from known hymns to current praise songs
- Recruit staff and parents for worship teams (instrumental and vocal) and support them
- Communicate with administration worship team members
- Prepare musically and adjust songs for age appropriate student vocal ranges
- Utilize school technology to check song lyrics and formats
