Job Description:
  • We are seeking a contract Change Management Lead to provide professional change management leadership for major projects as assigned. This role will initially support a compliance assessment program focused on critical business systems with a second phase dedicated to advancing the enterprises cybersecurity maturity.
  • The contractor will work alongside two seasoned professionals within the Enterprise Portfolio Management Office (EPMO).
This Change Manager will:
  • Focus on the people side of change understanding the change impacts of new business processes systems and technology
  • Work across highly matrixed teams of business leaders and IT professionals to provide guidance develop change management strategies schedule tactics and implement action plans to ensure employee adoption and usage of the new tools
  • Coach senior leaders and executives to help them fulfill the role of change sponsor
  • Increase benefit realization value creation ROI and the achievement of program goals
Roles and Responsibilities
  • Apply change management processes and tools to create a strategy to support adoption of the changes required by major IT initiatives
  • Design develop and write program-related communications to be delivered to all stakeholders
  • Identify key stakeholders and conduct impact analyses
  • Support training efforts by helping refine the training strategy and help ensure the design and delivery of training programs align with stakeholder needs
  • Assess change management effectiveness as the program evolves
  • Identify and manage anticipated resistance
  • Consult and coach project teams and leaders
  • Create actionable deliverables for the overall change management plan
  • Support and engage senior leaders
  • Coordinate efforts with other specialists within the company and on adjacent teams and roles as needed
  • Integrate change management activities into project plan
  • Evaluate and ensure user readiness
  • Help manage stakeholders
  • Define and measure adoption success metrics and monitor change progress
  • Contribute to toolkits and other change management resources
Skills and Qualifications
  • Proven success as a change manager for large-scale IT initiatives within a large corporation
  • A solid understanding of how people go through a change and the change process
  • Experience and knowledge of change management principles methodologies and tools
  • Exceptional communication skills both written and verbal
  • Ability to clearly articulate messages to a variety of audiences
  • Excellent active listening skills
  • Strong team building and relationship building skills
  • Ability to influence others and move toward a common vision or goal
  • Flexible and adaptable; able to work in ambiguous situations
  • Resilient and tenacious with a propensity for ownership and perseverance
