Job Title: Certified Surgical Technologist Operating Room (OR)
Location: Syracuse NY
Type: Contract 13 Weeks

Pay Rate: Local: $45/hour Travel: Up to $52/hour

Shift & Schedule: Day / Evening Mix 40 Hours Per Week

• 11:00 AM 7:00 PM

• 3:00 PM 11:30 PM

• 11:00 AM 11:30 PM

Position Overview:

Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist for an exciting Travel or Local job in Syracuse NY.

Responsibilities

• Prepare operating rooms for surgical procedures by ensuring proper instruments equipment and sterile supplies are available.

• Scrub in and assist surgeons during procedures while maintaining a sterile field.

• Anticipate surgeon needs and provide instruments efficiently during surgical procedures.

• Handle surgical instruments sponges and supplies according to sterile technique standards.

• Assist in positioning and prepping patients for surgery.

• Maintain strict adherence to infection control and operating room safety protocols.

• Perform counts of instruments sponges and sharps with the circulating nurse.

• Assist with turnover and cleaning of OR suites between procedures.

• Support trauma orthopedic general surgery ENT vascular GYN and other surgical specialties.

• Collaborate with surgeons nurses anesthesia providers and surgical team members.

• Ensure compliance with hospital policies and OR standards of practice.

Required Qualifications

• Current Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) Certification.

• Minimum 3 years of recent Operating Room experience within the last 4 years.

• Experience in a Level I or Level II Trauma Center or equivalent teaching hospital.

• Strong scrub experience in Operating Room settings.

• Experience in Trauma Orthopedics General Surgery ENT Vascular and GYN procedures.

• Ability to function independently with minimal orientation.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Neurosurgery experience.

• Experience working in high-acuity trauma environments.

• Experience supporting multiple surgical specialties.
