Job Summary

Job Title: Certified Surgical Technologist (CST)
Type: Local or Travel Contract (13 Weeks)
Shift & Schedule: Day Shift 4 x 10.5-Hour Shifts 42 Hours Per Week 7:00 AM 5:30 PM or 7:00 AM 7:30 PM
Pay rate:
Local: $35 - $42/hr
Travel: $43 - $47/hr Including Stipend (Based on Experience)

Position Overview:

Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) for an exciting Local or Travel job in Akron OH.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare operating rooms with necessary surgical instruments equipment and supplies.

  • Ensure proper sterilization and maintenance of surgical instruments and equipment.

  • Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments sutures and supplies.

  • Maintain a sterile field throughout surgical procedures.

  • Anticipate the needs of surgeons and the surgical team during operations.

  • Assist with patient positioning preparation and transportation before and after surgery.

  • Perform instrument counts before during and after procedures to ensure patient safety.

  • Collaborate with nurses physicians and other healthcare professionals to support efficient surgical workflows.

  • Adhere to infection control policies safety regulations and hospital protocols.

  • Document and communicate any equipment or supply issues promptly.

Required Qualifications

  • Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification.

  • Minimum of 2 years of recent Surgical Technologist experience.

  • Current AHA BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.

  • Strong knowledge of surgical procedures sterile techniques and operating room protocols.

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced surgical environment.

  • Excellent communication teamwork and organizational skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • General surgery experience.

  • Experience with a variety of surgical specialties.

  • Strong understanding of infection prevention and patient safety standards.

  • Experience working in high-volume operating room environments.
