We are looking for a dedicated Certified Pharmacy Tech like you to join our Lubbock Heart team.

What You Will do in this Role:

• Assist in delivery of pharmacy services including order entry stocking IV preparation ordering transportation and any other duty as allowed or requested by the pharmacist.
• Provide communication of pertinent pharmacy issues.
• Participate in the quality improvement activities of the department
• Participate in hospital meetings/committees as required.

What Qualifications You Will Need:

• High School diploma or equivalent. College courses desirable but not required.
• 3 years Pharmacy Technician experience preferred but not required.
• Certified Pharmacy Technician
  
  • Emergency drug therapy ACLS/BLS
  • Effective written and oral communication skills
  • Working knowledge of:
  • Pharmacy reference materials and utilization for provision of drug information
  • Computer systems
  • Practice of inventory/stock control and systems
  • Drug/solutions delivery systems
  • Current laws/regulations which affect the practice of pharmacy
  • AGE RELATED COMPETENCIES:
  • Human development knowledge/skills
  • Pharmaceutical Care Needs of Neonatal Pediatric Adolescent Adult and Geriatric patients
  • Know the definitions of fundamental computer terms related to applications software and desktop PCs
  • Know how to open read and respond to email
  • Know how to manage electronic files
  • Know how to print electronic documents and reports

Your Shift: Full Time 0800-1700

Lubbock Heart & Surgical Hospital specializes in the care of cardiac orthopedic nephrology urology and general medical patients. We are also a highly active inpatient center mainly centered on surgical procedures that include cardiothoracic orthopedic urology and general surgery. We have a 24-hour Emergency Department with 5 fully equipped ED rooms 4 fully operating OR rooms 4 cardiac catherization labs with 1 electrophysiology room 11-day surgery rooms 58 acute care beds spread over three units and 16 cardiac critical care rooms. We pride ourselves on giving the best overall care possible to our patients and on our family style atmosphere that includes everyone: patients and their families physicians and our employees.
