Certified Pharmacy Technician II

Under the supervision of a Pharmacist: responsible for drug distribution services order processing functions the preparation of pharmaceutical doses clerical functions monthly unit floor inspections and departmental section checks to maintain adequate inventory levels of in-date pharmaceuticals on nursing units and the pharmacy department. Must also maintain the required professional and hospital competencies for a State Certified Pharmacy Technician and assist with performance improvement activities as well as performing any other job related duties as requested by a pharmacist or pharmacy management.

Must be currently certified by the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) and registered in good standing as a State Certified Pharmacy Technician with the SC Board of Pharmacy (This requires being a graduate of an approved Pharmacy Technician program and by having submitted documentation for their required number of work experience hours as a pharmacy technician or having met requirements to be grandfathered in by 2004). Must have basic typing skills and a working knowledge of computers and equipment utilized in the preparation repackaging dispensing and distribution of pharmaceutical products.
