Certified Payroll Specialist

Sparrow Company is currently seeking a Certified Payroll Specialist for one of our valued clients in the Summerlin Nevada area.

Position Overview

We are looking for a detail-oriented and organized Certified Payroll Specialist to support payroll operations and ensure compliance with prevailing wage requirements certified payroll regulations and applicable labor compliance programs.

Key Responsibilities

• Process certified payroll accurately and in a timely manner.
• Track time for prevailing wage hourly employees.
• Follow up with supervisors regarding timekeeping approvals.
• Generate weekly certified payroll reports and submit them to the appropriate agencies.
• Resolve payroll discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information in PayTrax.
• Interpret complex contract documents delivery methods and agreements related to construction.
• Analyze certified payroll prevailing wage and apprenticeship documentation to ensure compliance with applicable laws and labor compliance programs.
• Interact with employees supervisors management and other stakeholders at all levels while maintaining positive and respectful relationships.
• Review and organize information materials and documentation independently and efficiently.
• Identify deficiencies and request additional information when needed.
• Take appropriate action to resolve issues and maintain compliance.
• Support the Prevailing Wage Payroll Manager with various tasks and special projects as needed.

The ideal candidate is highly detail-oriented organized and comfortable working with payroll data construction-related documentation and compliance requirements. Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently while collaborating with multiple teams are essential.
